Red & Green

Today was a day full of wonderful Christmas preparations and activities!
I finally finished the gifts I've been working on for the girls that I disciple, and now they're packaged and looking festive under the tree until I give them out.

I purchased and wrapped my gift for the Dirty Santa game at our Ministry Team Christmas party tomorrow night.

I wrote Christmas cards; while drinking hot chocolate and watching White Christmas.  I realized that last year I wrote Christmas cards while drinking hot chocolate and watching White Christmas, which means it's a tradition, and I love traditions!  And I think this is one of the first holiday traditions I've made on my own, and that makes me happy.

I like White Christmas for a few reasons.  The quirky, witty banter between Bob Wallace and Phil Davis.  The song and dance routines.  The gorgeous dresses that Betty and Judy wear.  The patriotic aspect in it.  And the fact that Bing Crosby reminds me of my Papa.

Sisters, sisters...

Vermont should be beautiful this time of year, with all that snow.

Mr. Bones feels rattlin'. Ha ha. That's a good one. Tell a little story, Mr. Bones.

Gee, I wish I were back in the Army.

And this is a picture of my Papa, don't you think he looks like Bing?!?
