I remember that the first time I read this recipe, I thought it sounded disgusting, but then I tried it and really liked it. I make this a lot in the spring and summer when I need a side dish for a large gathering, which is why I made it for our community group dinner tonight. And as with most salad recipes like this, you can add or take out some of the ingredients to fit your own taste buds.
2 bunches of broccoli, cut into small florets
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tbl. vinegar
2 tbl. sugar
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 medium onion, diced
1 jar/package real bacon bits
Just mix it all together and serve cold.
