What did I do this afternoon? I painted a few old pallets. With tea. It's not until October, but we're working on our 365:24/7 series. One of, if not the, most time consuming aspect of planning the series is creating all of the visual aspects, so our goal is to get all of that done this summer. We're trying to give wood and metal an old, weathered look and Seth has come up with a way to do it quickly. I don't know all of the steps exactly, but I know it involves painting with a vinegar solution, tea, and scrubbing it with steel wool. The kitchen has looked like a science lab, with stuff bubbling on the stove and in jars on the counter, and the front porch smells like vinegar, but the process is working!
