I'd been looking forward to tonight pretty much all week. Chelsea and Jillian were coming in and we were going to go to dinner, then Menchies, and then to hear one of Jillian's favorite speakers at a youth camp being held at ETSU. Panera was Panera, good as always and no need to explain.

Menchies on the other hand...it's a frozen yogurt place and Johnson City's newest "restaurant." It came in while we were in China, and ever since it's all I've heard about. I've been avoiding it, because I knew I would love it. You have about 10 different flavors of frozen yogurt to choose from, and then approximately 30 candy/nut/cereal toppings and 10 fruit toppings. You get to concoct the whole things by yourself, and then you weigh it and pay accordingly. For someone who can be extremely indecisive, this was a little overwhelming, especially since there were people in line behind me so I couldn't take my dear sweet time. I ended up with Cake Batter yogurt topped with crushed Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, crushed Heath Bars, granola, sour gummy worms, and maraschino cherries. I didn't just throw them all on top of each other, because I knew all these things wouldn't taste good together. Instead I just put them all side by side, so I would be able to taste each of them separately with the yogurt. I liked all of them except the gummy worms, since they got so cold they got really stiff and hard to eat. Obviously, there is an art to whipping up the perfect frozen yogurt, and as I afraid, I can't wait to go back and do it again!
