Friday Night Confessions

A couple weeks ago I spent part of my Friday night ironing my shower curtain.  Pitiful, I know, but it's true.  And tonight was similar.  I spent about an hour or so in the laundromat washing my bathroom rugs and covers to all the cushions on my couch (not together, if that kind of thing weirds you out).  And this laundromat also happens to be a fine reading nook as well, what with all the noise of the washers and dryers, the fluorescent lighting and the oh-so-comfortable plastic lawn chair.  Ok, not so ideal reading conditions, but what else was I supposed to do?  And as you can tell from the picture, I'm reading Confessions of a Shopaholic.  I saw the movie years ago when it came out, and have been wanting to read the book ever since, but just never got around to it.  Well the other day when I was at Goodwill, the same trip where I got the mirror, I was looking through the book section and saw the second book in the Shopaholic series.  I considered getting it but then figured that would be dumb because I haven't even read the first one.  And then lo and behold, a minute later I found the first one!  So of course I had to get them!  I'm sure Rebecca Bloomwood would agree with me.  Anyways, I read until the laundry was done and then I came back to put my Island Fresh smelling cushion covers back on my cushions.  I turned on the TV first, flipped a few channels, and what was on TBS?  Yes, Confessions of a Shopaholic!  I couldn't believe it, and I had only missed the first 15 or 20 minutes.  At least I know this Friday night will end more like a Friday night should, as opposed to how it started.

  2. I would totally spend a Friday night reading the shopaholic books! (fyi: the movie version of #1 that you're reading is slightly different than the original) I hope you enjoy all the books as much I as do! I laugh out loud in all of them...which means Caleb hates when I read them in bed because I keep laughing when he's trying to fall asleep!
